Welcome to the Student and Family Support Office – we are here to help.
For concerns related to a school, the first step is to speak with the staff member closest to the concern, such as a classroom teacher or the school principal. Addressing concerns at the school level provides the best opportunity for a timely and appropriate response.
The Student and Family Support Office is here to assist students and families with matters that cannot be resolved at the school level, as well as non-school-specific matters, such as questions about facilities and capital projects.
Our goal is to ensure you are connected with the appropriate person or process to respond to your inquiry.
Process Expectations
All inquiries are reviewed to determine the appropriate process. While many concerns can be addressed through the Student and Family Support Office, some matters fall under the purview of another Board policy or process and will be addressed accordingly.
We are committed to responding to concerns in a fair, respectful, and timely manner. We ask that all interactions remain respectful and recognize the dignity of everyone involved. Staff are not obligated to respond to communications that are threatening, harassing, offensive or abusive, or to requests that cannot realistically or reasonably be achieved.
Please Note
This intake process is not used for suspension appeals. Information about the suspension appeal process is included with all suspension letters. If you do not have this information, please contact the school directly.
